Button Status is affiliated with a Non Profit organization Golden Care Plus 501 c(3). We decided to join hands to ensure that youth who suffer from mental health challenges can participate in activities that promote social interaction and well being. Both organizations have a vision that it is beneficial to engage youth in outings that not only promote social interaction but also activities that revolve around the direct connection with nature. Such activities include: camping, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, boating and more. Shhh sometimes we hug trees .. We also put a large emphasis on ensuring that our environment mirrors our vision. We accomplish this by engaging our youth in decorative/artsy activities, community clean ups. We try to make the space we spend the most of our time in as beautiful as possible, this way we can call it our space of love.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To assist individuals in our community affected by mental illness and serious emotional disturbance with their hopes, dreams and quality of life goals. To accomplish this, services must be delivered in the least restrictive, non-stigmatizing, most accessible environment with a coordinated system of community and self-care, respectful of a person’s family and loved ones, language, culture, ethnicity, gender and sexual identity.

To provide a non-threatening, non-judgmental, confidential, safe and friendly environment where people can come to socialize and overcome the isolation of mental illness.  To make connections with other people who may become their friends and companions.

Golden Care Plus also assists clients with house discrimination, special referrals for individuals who are seeking housing, and regularly donates various of housing goods to those in need.
